Want a Christmas present or New Year gift that no-one else has got? Then how about buying a piece of the new Worcestershire CCC 150th Anniversary Walk.
For as little as £60 you can purchase an engraved brick which will form part of the Worcestershire Way which runs parallel to New Road and leads up to the entrance to The View.
Already there has been a sizeable demand to effectively be part of the county's history and the aim is for the first part of the Walk to be completed late March-early April before the opening home LV = County Championship clash against Yorkshire.
Larger sized bricks are also available at £110, £200 and £500 respectively and it is a way of giving a loved one a unique gift for the festive season or as a way of seeing in 2015 which promises to be a special 12 months in the county's proud history.
Worcestershire CCC commercial director Jon Graham said: "People have been very keen to see and understand what we are doing for the 150th year so a lot of thought and preparation has gone into a whole host of events.
"We released the 150th Anniversary Crest a month ago but we just felt we needed something to kick off the year and the 150th Anniversary Walk was always going to be the first thing we had up our sleeves and it has gone incredibly well.
"For me, certainly around Christmas, you've got so many presents to buy for people that who have got everything. Well, they haven't got one of these!
"For dad, mother, grandad, grandmother, anyone who loves the club, from £60 they are basically buying a piece of history.I think that's a really nice thing to do with your own message.
"We felt it would go well, we've already had quite a few orders in, That has increased as we have got closer to Christmas Eve and it would make a nice New Year present as well.
"Hopefuly people will also buy into the Walk during the first couple of months of 2015 and towards the back end of March we will look to lay the first set of bricks.
"At the moment the space allocated will take a 1,000 single bricks at £60 each but we've got ones that are double bricks and bigger.
"If needed, we would look to further expand it up the Worcestershire Way if there is a demand for that."
