Steve Rhodes says that Worcestershire need to become established in Division One of the LV = County Championship to bolster their hopes of recruiting new players to add to their group of young talent.
Worcestershire have yo-yoed between the two divisions, with five promotions and five relegations in the last 12 years.
They were only 12 points short of third from bottom Hampshire in 2015 after gaining three victories by an innings during the campaign.
Director of Cricket Rhodes has already stated he would like to bring in another bowler to compliment the home grown pace trio of Jack Shantry, Joe Leach and Charlie Morris.
But he admitted: "It is always a problem attracting players. If you look at our dressing room, it is a fantastic dressing room, the lads are very close.
"If you look at our ground, what a great place to come and play.
"If you look at our work ethic, in trying to get better, then that is excellent too.
"So the way we go about trying to win games as cricket, is the type of place that people would want to come, I'm sure.
"When you are not always in Division One….these people sometimes have one career move and they tend to want to make it to a side regularly in Division One.
"We can't moan about that. What we've got to do is something about it.
"What we've got to do about it is stay there regularly enough for people to think 'you know what, that's a place I want to go.'"
