Steve Rhodes has challenged the Worcestershire players to repeat their excellent first half of the season performances through the rest of the summer and said: "if we do that, we will be in a good position by September."
The LV = County Championship has reached the half-way stage point with Worcestershire level on points with Hampshire at the top of Division Two.
They are also top of the North Group in the NatWest T20 Blast after winning their last five matches including last night's game away to Derbyshire.
Director Of Cricket Rhodes said: "I'm also proud that we are half-way through the season and we are joint top of Division Two in the Championship.
"We would certainly have taken that at the start of the season. We've got to try and maintain that throughout the second half of the season.
"It won't be easy but this dressing room is up for the challenge and that's tremendous. We've just got to make sure we do the right things and hopefully points will come our way.
"The game against Glamorgan, we were on top in that game and a lot of the games affected by the weather, we've been on top.
"That's a real positive for us going forward, that in most of the games we've been challenging and in good positions.
"We've got to make sure that not beating Hampshire, when possibly we might have done, doesn't affect our confidence, doesn't affect our effort levels and the way we go about our batting and bowling and fielding.
"If we carry on what we are doing in the first half of the season then we will be in a good position by September. "
