Brett D’Oliveira gave his reaction to proceedings on day two of Worcestershire’s Specsavers County Championship match with Glamorgan at Cardiff.
The all-rounder followed up his career best 202 not out on the same ground three years ago with another personal best return with the ball of 7-92 from 26.5 overs.
D’Oliveira told BBC Hereford-Worcester’s Dave Bradley: “It was one of those days where it came out quite nicely. It felt like it was coming out quite well yesterday.
“It has been doing so for a couple of weeks and it was just nice to get those wickets and get the team in a decent position.
“It spun a little out of the footholds, from around the wicket especially to the left handers, but not much from straight on.
“It was all about being nice and consistent and hoping they made some mistakes which they did thankfully.
“I haven’t bowled that amount of overs for a while so it was nice to get that opportunity and take it so hopefully in the next few games I will get that opportunity again.
“Where are we in this game? We’ve got to go out tomorrow and spend some time in the middle.
“Our first objective will be to probably get past that follow on score (300) and, once we’ve got past that, try and go big from there.
“We bat a long way down. We’ve still got batting to come but it’s about occupying the crease and negating their bowlers for a while.“
