Worcestershire Women’s Rapids ended their ECB County Championship T20 Group Two campaign in fine style with a double triumph over Lincolnshire and Norfolk at Bourne CC.
It was a particularly memorable day for Clare Boycott and captain Chloe Hill who dominated proceedings with the bat.
Against Lincolnshire, the opening pair put on 207 as Worcestershire amassed 212-1 in their 20 overs after electing to bat.
Boycott was the one wicket to fall for 67 off 56 balls with eight boundaries but Chloe Hill remained unbeaten on 93 from 66 deliveries with one six and 12 fours.
Amy Maund then caused havoc with the new ball when Lincolnshire launched their reply.
She picked up the first four wickets to reduce Lincolnshire to 23-4 and finished with the splendid figures of 4-2-9-4.
Flora Bertwhistle (4-0-9-2) provided excellent support and also amongst the wickets were Bryony Gillgrass (1.5-1-1-2), Charlotte Roberts (3-0-13-1) and Jess Beach (4-1-12-1).
Lincolnshire were eventually bowled out for 58 in 18.5 overs as the Rapids triumphed by 154 runs.
Boycott was again in fine form against Norfolk and made an unbeaten 90 from 66 balls with nine boundaries.
She put on another 45 for the first wicket with Chloe Hill (19) and then, after five wickets had fallen for 29 runs, added an unbroken for the sixth wicket with Hannah Hardwick (14 not out) in a total of 151-5.
Norfolk never looked like reaching their target after being reduced to 35-3 and eventually closed on 91-7.
Imogen Hill and Bertwhistle both picked up two wickets to round off a successful day with a 60 run victory.
Liv Gough kept wicket versus Lincolnshire while Chloe Hill reverted to behind the stumps against Norfolk.
