Birmingham Bears skipper Ian Bell was full of praise for Worcestershire Rapids performance after they triumphed by five wickets in last night's NatWest T20 Blast clash at Edgbaston.
An unbeaten 62 from man of the match Brett D'Oliveira propelled to victory with five balls to spare after the leg spinner and Ed Barnard had earlier impressed with the ball.
It was their second successive win in the competition.
Bell said: We were a few runs light. We didn't quite get the partnerships going we would have liked – but you can't take anything away from what Worcestershire did.
"They were very good and disciplined and also showed that the bat deep.
"Worcestershire are a good side. They set themselves up nicely for T20. It doesn't matter what division you are in in four-day cricket.
"A lot of teams set themselves up really nicely in T20 cricket and it is really hard to see the difference in a lot of teams.
"Worcestershire have a lot of really good T20 players and are one of the strongest sides in the group. Fair play to them."
