Worcestershire all-rounder Ed Barnard played a key part as Queanbeyan District overcame visiting Eastlake by one run in a Australian Capital Territory Konica Minolta Regional Cup T20 clash.
The England Under-19 player ran out Eastlake's R. Bartley off the final ball of the match to help earn his side victory by the narrowest of margins.
Barnard had opened the batting after Queanbeyan had won the toss and elected to bat. He made a useful 14 from 17 balls as Queanbeyan totalled a challenging 162-9 from their 20 overs.
Barnard, who like Joe Clarke will start his first full season as a professional at New Road next summer, then impressed with the ball.
He came on first change and bowled his four overs at a cost of just 24 runs and picked up one wicket.
Alex Hepburn's side Willetton Dragons dominated the second day of their two day clash with Claremont in a Western Australian Cricket Association second grade encounter.
Willetton resumed on 150-5 – Hepburn having contributed 15 last weekend – after bowling out Claremont for 90.
They declared on 232-9 – a lead of 142 – and then reduced Claremont to 120-9 from 72 overs and collected 10 points to their opponents nil.
Hepburn bowled just the one over for four runs.
