Ashley Giles MBE, Chief Executive Officer at Worcestershire County Cricket Club

Ashley Giles brings vast experience in high-performance sport to his role as Chief Executive Officer at Worcestershire County Cricket Club. Ashley, a former international cricketer, has 16 years of playing at the highest levels, representing England 116 times and being a key member of the 2005 Ashes-winning team.
Following his retirement due to injury in 2007, Ashley transitioned into cricket management and leadership, where he has spent the past 17 years holding pivotal roles across both domestic and international cricket. His tenure includes serving as Head Coach, Director of Cricket, National Selector, and Managing Director, culminating in England’s historic 2019 World Cup victory.
Ashley is a Level 4 Master Cricket Coach with a Master’s in Sports Directorship. His leadership extends beyond cricket, having served on the Board of England Netball during their Commonwealth Games gold medal win in 2018.
Awarded an MBE in 2006 for his services to cricket, Ashley is also passionate about giving back to the community. He co-founded The Giles Trust with his wife, Stine, which has raised over £1.3 million for brain tumour research and support.
