Worcestershire Academy are in action in a series of 50 over and T20 matches against the Ireland Under-17 side this week.
It is a feather in the cap of the Academy to be playing these prestigious fixtures against the cream of up and coming Irish talent.
Today the two teams are in action in a 50 over match at Stourbridge Cricket Club and will do battle with each other in another 50 over match at the same venue tomorrow.
Then on Thursday the action switches to Bromsgrove Cricket Club with two T20 matches taking place on that day.
The fifth and final game between the Academy and Ireland Under-17s will be another T20 game at Bromsgrove on Friday.
George Newton is captaining the Academy side in today's opening fixture with Ewan Wilcox keeping wicket.
