Worcestershire Academy went down by seven wickets to their Gloucestershire counterparts in a three-day encounter at Bromsgrove School.
The home side elected to bat and were bowled out for 143 in their first innings – a total aided by 43 extras.
Jack Haynes top-scored with 27 off 48 balls with three fours and Ewan Wilcox (23) was the other main contributor.
Gloucestershire were also made to work hard for their runs andJosh Haynes returned the fine figures of 4-47 from 26 overs and received good support from Alex Wilkinson (3-33).
But the last three Gloucestershire wickets added 70 runs to earn their side a useful lead of 45 thanks mainly to Archie Dunning's 58 off 86 balls with three sixes and five fours.
When Worcestershire batted again, Josh Haynes made a breezy 33 off only 38 balls with five boundaries.
Jujhar Johal weighed in with the top score of 35 as his side were dismissed for 163 to leave Gloucestershire a 119 victory target.
Openers Alex Woodland and Ben Ellis put on 65 and, although three wickets then fell for eight runs, Gloucestershire reached their target without any further setbacks.
