Worcestershire CCC Academy will continue their busy period of cricket when they visit Walmley CCC for round one of the Birmingham and District Premier Cricket League's Graham Williamson Trophy on Saturday (12.30pm start).
The 40 overs a side knockout cup will provide a competitive edge for the Academy side who are normally accustomed to staging friendly matches throughout the summer.
On the same theme, Academy Coach Elliot Wilson's side will also be taking part in a Tri-Series with the Northamptonshire CCC and Leicestershire CCC Academy teams later in the summer of three-day, 50 over and T20 matches.
If they are triumphant against Walmley, the Academy will face another away trip to either Leamington or Dorridge in round two seven days later.
Should they be beaten by Walmley, then Academy will take on the defeated side in the Leamington-Dorridge game first round game in the plate competition.
It is mandatory for all teams who participate in the competition to play in coloured clothing and matches will be played with pink balls.
It will be a fourth game in five days for the Academy who this week have participated in the Shrerwsbury School pre-season tournament from Tuesday to Thursday and achieved a hat-trick of wins.
For any Worcestershire supporters who may want to cheer on the Academy, Walmley play at the John Findlay Memorial Ground, Eldon Drive, Walmley, Sutton Coldfield, B76 1LT.
