Worcestershire CCC Academy are gearing up for four days of competitive cricket in the space of five days – including three against Ireland Under-19s.
First on the agenda is the latest match in the Tri-Series which annually involves Worcestershire, Northamptonshire and Leicestershire taking on each other in T20, 50 over and three-day fixtures.
Tomorrow (Sunday) the Academy will take on Leicestershire Academy at Barnt Green CC.
The 50 overs per side fixture will get underway at 11am.
Last weekend on Tri-Series T20 day, Worcestershire defeated Leicestershire by five wickets at Old Northamptonians CC.
The now annual set of fixtures against Ireland Under-17s will take place from Tuesday to Thursday.
The Irish visit has become amongst the highlights of the Academy’s fixture programme in recent years.
The games are of extra significance this year for Ireland as they form part of their preparations for the Under-19 World Cup qualifiers – and places are up for grabs in the squad.
The Academy and Ireland will do battle in 50 over games at Dumbleton CC on Tuesday and Wednesday (11 am start both days) followed by a T20 encounter at Barnt Green on Thursday (1pm start).
