Worcestershire CCC Academy duo Reeve Evitts and Josh Dickenson featured in a crucial partnership to help the Midlands defeat London-East in a 50 over encounter in the Super Fours at Loughborough.
The Midlands had opted to bat but were in trouble at 133-9 for when Evitts and Dickenson joined forces and added 58 for the 10th wicket in 10.5 overs.
Evitts finished unbeaten on 44 from 53 balls with two sixes and three fours while last man Dickenson made 20 before he was last out at 191 in 43.5 overs.
Worcestershire CCC players then made their mark with the ball and in the field as London-East were dismissed for 161 in 33.3.
Ben Parker took the new ball and picked up two of the first three wickets to fall in reducing London-East to 37-3.
Evitts then produced a fine piece of fielding backward of square to run out J. Richards (28) and break a crucial stand which had lifted London-East to 84-3.
Dickenson then followed up his contribution with the bat by picking up two wickets, including top scorer B. Foreman for 35.
With Parker also responsible for a run out, the Midlands ran out winners by 30 runs with Parker finishing with 2-45 from nine overs and Dickenson 2-48 from 8.3 overs.
