Worcestershire Academy had to settle for a share of the spoils from their final Tri-Series game of 2018 as Northamptonshire Academy batted out the final day of the three-day encounter at Overstone CC.
Northamptonshire were left facing a first innings deficit of 156 after Worcestershire had recovered from 43-3 to post 482-9 on the second day thanks to centuries from Charlie Clist and Ed Bragg.
But they took the run aggregate over the three days to 1,204 by reaching 396-6 – a lead of 240 – before the two sides shook hands.
Four of the Northamptonshire batsmen registered half centuries while Lewis Evans picked up two wickets for the visitors.
Henry and George Marshall bowled tidy spells and were rewarded with one wicket apiece.
Riecko Parker-Cole and Luke Tulacz also enjoyed one success each with the ball for Worcestershire.
Worcestershire were without the services of Zain Ul-Hassan who departed from the fixture yesterday to link up with the injury-hit Seconds at RGS Worcester – and scored a half century against Glamorgan Seconds.
