Worcestershire Academy and Ireland Under-19s will now turn their attention to white ball cricket after honours ended even in a two-day game at Stourbridge CC.
Ireland were set a 282 target on the final day and the two sides shook hands with their total on 213-5.
The visitors had resumed on 235-7 in their first innings and their last three wickets were quickly disposed of to earn the Academy a first innings lead of five runs.
One of those wicket fell to Jujhar Johal who finished with the excellent figures of 11-1-40-6.
When the Academy batted for a second time, Johal was also amongst the runs with 40 off 48 balls with seven fours in the opener’s role.
Xavier Clarke (57 off 67 balls, six fours) and Zain Ul Hassan (44 off 67 balls, six fours) maintained the momentum.
Then first innings century-maker Charlie Clist hit an unbeaten 53 from 25 balls with two sixes and seven fours before the declaration at 276-7 off 50 overs.
Pete Clark (3-46) and Ed Bragg (2-32) were amongst the wickets in Ireland’s second innings.
The two teams will now meet tomorrow (Thursday) in a 50 over encounter at Kidderminster’s Chester Road ground (11am start).
