Worcestershire Rapids Women can today confirm that loanee Phoebe Brett will return to Warwickshire having signed a first professional contract with her parent club.
The 17-year-old joined the Rapids at the start of the 2025 season, impressing from the outset with her left-arm spin in both white ball formats.
Brett picked up eleven wickets across all formats during last season, before her impressive performances saw her recalled by Warwickshire, where she signed a short-term professional contract.
Brett’s summer was topped off as she earned a call-up as a wildcard for the Birmingham Phoenix in The Hundred.
The youngster caught the eye immediately, taking four wickets in three matches, including best figures of 3-19 against the Trent Rockets.
The left-arm spinner, still only 17 years old, leaves the club with the best wishes of Worcestershire Rapids Women Head Coach, Ed Wilson.
“We are all delighted for Phoebe, she made a great impact in her time in Tier 1 this summer and it’s nice to see that rewarded with a permanent contract.
“Phoebe is a great example of our pathway doing its job, providing girls with the platform to reach the professional game.”
