Worcestershire Academy captain, Ben Clarke, will make his senior debut for Herefordshire this weekend.
Clarke will play for Herefordshire in their three-day National Counties Western Division Two match with Wales at Eastnor beginning on Sunday.
The left arm spinner-middle order batter took over the captaincy of the Academy this summer from Joe Stanley.
He has been part of the full Academy intake for the past three years and plays Birmingham and District League cricket for Barnards Green.
Clarke, a former Malvern College pupil, spent many years as part of the Worcestershire pathway.
Another Worcestershire player in keeper-batter Henry Cullen will also play for Herefordshire against Wales.
Cullen earlier this week scored a century against Wiltshire at Corsham in his first appearance of the summer for Herefordshire.
He was part of the Worcestershire Rapids squad for Thursday’s win over Leicestershire Foxes in the Vitality Blast.
