Worcestershire Rapids skipper Daryl Mitchell and other players have vowed to bounced back from the disappointment of losing the NatWest T20 Blast quarter-final to Surrey Lions by three wickets at the Kia Oval.
Mitchell and Co took to social networking in the aftermath of Saturday afternoon's clash and are united in vowing to recover from the defeat which was brought about by Jason Roy's 20 ball half century.
Worcestershire were restricted to 141-9 on a slow pitch not conduisive to stroke play but fought hard with the ball as Surrey lost seven wickets in reaching their target despite Roy's early onslaught.
Mitchell tweeted: "Gutted to lose, didn't quite get it right today but proud of the lads efforts. Decent campaign and will come back stronger next year."
All-rounder Joe Leach, who with Jack Shantry was the pick of the bowlers, tweeted: "Not a nice feeling, fair play to Jason Roy, great striking the difference, we will be back. Love these lads."
Spinner Brett D'Oliveira also praised the support of the Worcestershire fans at the Oval.
He tweeted: "Gutted is the only word. We will be back and stronger next time. It's a pleasure to be around Worcs CCC boys at the moment.
"Great to see and hear all the Worcs CCC fans. Hats off to the group of lads singing all day, great songs."
Paceman Mitchell McClenaghan tweeted: "Feeling for the lads at Worcs CCC, such a young talented side who will produce some great results for WCCC and England in the future."
Batsman Colin Munro, who has now ended his current spell with the county, tweeted: "Disappointing way to end what has been a very special time with some awesome lads.
"Thanks for everything and hope to see you guys again soon."
Munro has now joined up with New Zealand 'A' and will be back at New Road on August 12 for the One Day International with England Lions.
