NatWest T20 Blast overseas signing Mitchell Santner has made a telling contribution with the ball for Worcestershire Rapids during the first half of the season.
The New Zealander has bowled a succession of tight spells in the context of the short format of the game.
He has figures of 4-0-19-0, 4-0-30-2, 4-0-27-2, 4-0-23-1, 4-0-26-0 and 4-0-24-1.
Santner has the Rapids best economy rate of having conceded just 6.20 runs per over heading into tomorrow's home encounter with Durham Jets at New Road (2.30pm start).
He has also chipped in with some useful runs with 139 at 23,16 with a highest of 37 against Northamptonshire Steelbacks on Thursday evening.
Unsurprisingly, Ross Whiteley's six-hitting blitz has moved him to the top of the Rapids batting averages.
He has also scored the most runs – 188 at 31.33 – and is followed by Joe Clarke on 174.
The England Lions batsman has been showing encouraging signs of getting to grips with his switch to opening in the T20 Blast.
Clarke achieved successive scores of 42, 51 and 60 at a rapid rate before the meeting with the Steelbacks.
