Worcestershire CCC outgoing chief executive David Leatherdale says the start of the 2016 season at New Road – against Kent on April 10 – is "not in doubt" after the recent double flood.
Leatherdale confirmed the flooding, first in early January and then in mid February, is not on the same scale of the 2014 winter flood which was still several feet high at the end of February in that year.
The players will again practice at Kidderminster's Chester Road ground during the pre-season period after returning from the trip to Abu Dhabi.
This will allow the groundstaff to focus on preparing the County's headquarters ahead of the County Championship opener with Kent.
Leatherdale said: "The ground is fine. Compared to 2013-2014, when you think of where we were at, still under water at the end of February, this is not on the same scale.
"The fact the latest flood came up and went down in only three days means it has not affected things.
"The plan at the moment when the players come back from the Abu Dhabi tour is from March 21 to go to Kidderminster – as they have done for many seasons – for potentially a week-10 days leading up to the season.
"This will help the groundstaff here – and the ground to recover properly – and allow them after the winter floods to make sure the ground is up to speed for the first game on April 10 which is not in doubt."
