Moeen Ali enjoyed a late success with the ball as England struck back on day two of the Second Test with South Africa in Durban.
The Worcestershire all-rounder, who is playing his 20th Test, claimed the important wicket of Faf du Plessis for two during his second spell.
Du Plessis tried to emulate the approach of AB De Villiers and Dean Elgar in attacking Moeen but he was bowled after coming down the wicket with the delivery just clipping the off bail.
Moeen had initially bowled three overs for 14 runs after coming into the attack in the 10th over.
He returned in the 28th over and De Villiers and Elgar both struck the 28-year-old for sixes.
Moeen's first seven overs cost 39 runs but he finished with figures of 1-45 from 13 overs as South Africa closed on 137-4 from 52 overs.
Moeen had earlier been dismissed by Morne Morkel for a fourth ball duck batting at number eight as he was caught behind by De Villiers.
Kyle Abbott, who will be Worcestershire's overseas player for the second half of 2016, accounted for Jonny Bairstow for 41 as England were dismissed for 303 in 100.1 overs.
Abbott finished with figures of 1-66 from 24 overs.
