Mason: Morris Has “right Attitude And Temperament” For International Cricket

Worcestershire bowling coach Matt Mason believes paceman Charlie Morris "has the right attitude and temperament to play international cricket."

Morris had a first full season to remember at New Road last summer when he picked up 52 wickets in the LV = County Championship and played in all 16 games and played a major part in securing promotion.

Mason is convinced the former Oxford MCCU graduate will be on England's radar if he continues to make strides forward in 2015 as the county prepare for the challenge of Division One cricket.

He said: "Charlie is destined for great things I think. Is he on the England radar? I think he has to be if he stays fit and keeps performing like he can, and makes improvements.

"He is going to get a little bit quicker as he gets stronger, he is only going to improve from playing first class cricket.

"I think he has got the right attitude and temperament to play international cricket."

Mason, who is also the county's assistant coach, added: "It is exciting to think what he could be like.

"If you look at Chris Woakes who is only just making his way now and he is five years older than Charlie, it is an exciting prospect."
