Alexei Kervezee has shown improved form for Worcestershire during the 2014 season and is their second highest run-scorer in LV = County Championship cricket behind skipper Daryl Mitchell.
The Dutch international failed to score a half century in 2013 in 18 first class innings and scored 204 runs at an average of 11.33.
But he went into the final game of the campaign at Essex with a more healthy tally of 827 runs at an average of 35.96 with two centuries and five fifties from his 24 innings.
His most valuable knock was probably his hundred in the first innings after Worcestershire had been put in on a green wicket against Leicestershire at Grace Road.
Kervezee's ton kept Worcestershire in contention before they hit back to win in style.
Seven players in total have scored 500 or more runs.
On the bowling front Jack Shantry became the second player to pass the 50 wicket mark in the Championship with his Ian Botham type performance with bat and ball against Surrey.
Now Charlie Morris is looking to join him and Saeed Ajmal in passing 50 Championship wickets at Chelmsford.
