Friday Dead-Line For First Batch Of Bricks On 150Th Anniversary Walk

Friday Dead-Line For First Batch Of Bricks On 150Th Anniversary Walk

Worcestershire County Cricket Club is celebrating its 150th Anniversary and the first of many activities acknowledging that landmark is the 150th Anniversary Walk.

Situated on the Worcestershire Way which runs parallel to New Road itself and leads up to the entrance of The View, this dedicated walkway offers you the chance to leave a lasting impression at the county in the shape of a personalised engraved brick.

It is hoped that the first bricks will be laid on the Anniversary Walk in time for the new season which gets underway with the home LV = County Championship match against Yorkshire on April 12 in just under seven weeks.

But if you want your brick to be part of that first batch, it must be purchased by this Friday's February 27 dead-line.

A reminder that the bricks are available at four different prices – £60, £110, £200 and £500.

County sales executive Paul Biggerstaff said: "If anyone orders their brick by this Friday then they will be included in the first batch which will hopefully get laid by the first part of the season.

"If it is ordered after that, there will be a delay while we wait for enough sales to come in to enable the second batch to be laid.

"The 150th Anniversary Walk is a unique opportunity for supporters to make their mark and be part of both the history and future of the Club. But also one of the bricks makes the perfect gift."
