Ben Cox was left frustrated by the weather after helping MCC reach the final of the Emirates Airline Twenty20 competition in Dubai.
The Worcestershire wicket-keeper batsman scored a decisive 29 not out from 10 balls batting at number five to see MCC to a six wicket victory in the Group B match with Durham.
And he was also at the wicket – unbeaten on seven – when MCC defeated Peshawar Zalmi by seven wickets off the very last ball of a reduced clash in another Group B encounter.
MCC topped the group and clinched a final spot against Lancashire – but rain caused the final to be abandoned and meant the trophy was shared.
Lancashire had reached 33-1 from seven overs with no more play then possible.
Even in that short amount of time Cox had time to make an impact in stumping Luke Procter off Tom Alsop for 14 in what proved to be the final over.
Against Durham, Cox hit two sixes and three fours as MCC overtook Durham's 89-5 with eight balls to spare in a match reduced to 10 overs per side.
He had earlier taken one catch to dismiss Paul Collingwood.
MCC were set a reduced target of 69 in nine overs against Peshawar. Peshawar had earlier totalled 133-8 in a full 20 overs but the target was reduced after the elements intervened.
Cox picked up one catch and one stumping.
Worcestershire team-mate Joe Clarke was included in the MCC side for all three games but did not have an opportunity to bat.
Cox and Clarke are also part of the MCC squad for the four-day Champion County match versus Middlesex which gets underway tomorrow (Sunday).
