Joe Clarke's return to form has pushed the England Lions player's run total past the 600 mark in the Specsavers County Championship.
The 20-year-old hit a crucial 63 in helping to save the game away to Derbyshire and this week he hit a match-winning 123 in the home success over Leicestershire.
Clarke has now amassed 604 Championship runs at an average of 50.33 with three centuries.
He is just one run behind new England Lions call-up player Brett D'Oiveira who is Worcestershire's leading run-getter with 605 at 50.42 – a tally that includes a double hundred, a century and a 99.
Clarke said: "It's been quite tough really, mixing from white ball and red ball cricket. It's something that is really new for me. I didn't experience it as much last year.
"I've been disappointed with my form in the red ball stuff for the last month and a half.
"I haven't been getting the runs I should at the top of the order. It was nice to get some runs in a winning chase against Leicestershire."
On the bowling front Joe Leach continues to lead the way with 31 Championship wickets although it was his batting that shone against Leicestershire with scores of 90 and 64 not out.
Leach has two five wicket hauls in his tally in a season where he has been at the top of the PCA Most Valuable Player ratings for several weeks.
Matt Henry is next in line with 19 victims and he is also second in the batting averages after scoring useful late order runs on more than one occasion.
