Ajmal Scores 16 Not Out And Takes One Wicket In Pakistan Comeback

Saeed Ajmal launched his comeback with Pakistan in a warm-up match against the Bangladesh Cricket Board who recorded a one wicket win in Fatullah.

The spin wizard, who will link up with Worcestershire during the second half of the season, scored 16 not out and returned 1-45 from eight overs.

Ajmal is set to play in his first international for eight months in Friday's ODI with Bangladesh in Mirpur.

In the warm-up game, he batted at number 11 and figured in an unbroken last wicket stand of 40 with Fawad Alam (67 not out).

Ajmal struck three boundaries and faced only 16 balls as Pakistan reached 268-9 in their 50 overs.

He came on first change during the Bangladesh innings and claimed the wicket of number three batsman Litton Das for 23 during his eight overs.

But Bangladesh sneaked home by the narrowest of margins with seven balls to spare in reaching 270-9.

Ajmal is included in the Pakistan squads for the two Tests, three ODIs and one T20I against Bangladesh.
